Lt. Matt O’Donnell, a pilot assigned to Electronic Attack Squadron 140, showed Washington State Governor Jay Inslee the cockpit of an EA-18G Growler during a visit to Whidbey Island Naval Air Station July 31. It was Inslee’s first visit to the Navy’s only air station in the Pacific Northwest.

“Today’s visit was a good opportunity to see and understand operations first hand and meet rescue teams to thank them,” said Inslee. “I also wanted to talk about efforts to boost STEM education and partnerships with the Navy in local schools as well as discussing the Navy’s important role in energy efficiency. There are a lot of exciting things happening in these areas and I appreciate the Navy’s leadership in these areas.”
